3 main types of tracks - general preparations

F1 Manager 2022: Tracks - specifics, setup (1)

In F1 Manager 2022 , tracks are divided into 3 main groups:

  1. Power Circuit - They favor cars that have better power.
  2. Downforce Circuit - They favor cars that can generate better downforce.
  3. Balanced Circuit - This is a mix of a power and downforce circuit. As a result, a Balanced Circuit requires working out a compromise when looking for the perfect car setup.

You cannot develop a car that is perfect for all types of circuits, but you can limit weaker performance on tracks that do not agree with your car.

At the start of your career, your chosen team will have a "starter" car that may be modified to offer more downforce, performance or balance. From that moment on, you can decide upon further development yourself - focus on one category or try to develop an all-rounder.

F1 Manager 2022: Tracks - specifics, setup (2)

The change in the specifics of the car is made primarily through designing and producing new parts . When designing parts, you can always see how they will affect the performance and behavior of the car and, for example, design it more in terms of increasing power or downforce.

F1 Manager 2022: Tracks - specifics, setup (3)

If you already have more than 1 part from a given category, always choose the one that best suits the trackbefore the GP . The blue hands mean important, while green hands key areas that make the car competitive on a given track. If the part you've chosen allows improvement in a given area (green stats), be sure to install it.

You can make the whole process easier by assessing the data gathered during practice . Even if the current car works well with the type of track, you still need to push it to the limit. Always try to ensure that your drivers are as well prepared as possible for qualifying - they find a good configuration, have full knowledge of the track and good knowledge of the installed parts.
