After a small delay, F1 Manager 2022 update 1.8 has rolled out across all platforms. In response to community feedback, the latest update includes tyre performance changes, AI improvements, and much more.

F1 Manager 2022 update 1.7 delayed
Originally expected to arrive this week, the next F1 Manager 2022 update has been delayed "due to the number of changes" Frontier Developments is implementing. These include tyre wear changes and AI improvements.
F1 Manager 2022 update 1.7 is now expected to arrive next week, WC 26 September.
F1 Manager 2022 debuts at number 4 in UK sales charts
After the physical version was released on 30 August, F1 Manager 2022 debuted at number four in the UK physical game sales charts. While this wasn't as strong as f1 22's debut, the initial sales are impressive for a niche motorsport management game.
Update 1.6 arrives
The first post-launch update has landed for F1 Manager 2022. The Update 1.6 patch notes are full of the usual fixes and stability corrections.
It also addresses one of the biggest game-breaking issues players found as well as the gearbox wear bug.

While drivers are important, you've also got Technical Chiefs, Heads of Aerodynamics and Race Engineers too. Each is key to ensuring you get the most out of each race weekend and develop your car efficiently.

The driver ratings are pretty complicated, with nine different attributes that impact the overall score.
There are also growth factors that impact how quickly young drivers develop.

The release date for F1 Manager 2022 has been confirmed for some time now!
F1 Manager 2022 has an official release date of 30 August. But that's not the earliest you can play.
Early access
Those who pre-order the game digitally can get a huge five days early access.
That means you can start playing right now!
Platforms

F1 Manager 2022 will be available on PS4 & PS5, , and PC via Steam and The Epic Store. There are no special editions of F1 Manager 2022.
There are no plans for a Nintendo Switch version, but that could change further down the line or for next year's game.
Price
F1 Manager 2022 is very competitively priced.
The new game comes in with a price of £44.99/$54.99/€54.99 on digital stores.
A physical edition will also be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One with an RRP of £44.99/$54.99/€54.99.
Trophy and achievement list
There are 26 Xbox/Steam achievements and 27 trophies to collect in F1 Manager 2022, including a platinum trophy.
They are relatively easy to earn, as most are rewarded for natural progression by completing sponsor objectives or winning a Constructors' or Drivers' championship.
So, trophy and achievement hunters should have a fun time with this one!

It's all in the detail
In the build-up to release, F1 Manager 2022 and Frontier have been releasing some pretty detailed "feature focus" videos.
One from last month showed off the financial side of the game. How players will need to balance income from sponsors, spending on facilities, and trying to keep everyone happy without distracting from on-track performance.
These videos, along with the amazing gameplay action they show off, has helped to ease any nerves about this new franchise and how seriously it will take the sport.
Car development
In a reveal video, Frontier has highlighted how players will deal with car development in F1 Manager 2022.
It looks set to be the most detailed part of the game, with players having to tweak nearly every aspect of each part. You will also need to determine the speed of development based on your cash flow and personnel availability!
Multiplayer
Unfortunately, F1 Manager 2022 does not have any multiplayer aspect.
That means that you and your friends won't be able to compete together on the same grid.
However, that doesn't mean the franchise will always remain single-player only. This is just the first year of the series, and we can't wait to see where Frontier takes it in the years to come.
