The 19 best desserts and snacks in Aarhus (2024)

La Cabra is a popular coffee shop in the beautiful Latin Quarter of Aarhus. The coffee and pastries are excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy and friendly. The staff are very nice, and the coffee shop is always busy with locals and tourists alike.

Great atmosphere and even better bread! The sourdough + granola combo goes great with their freshly ground coffee selection. Highly recommended!

I learned of La Cabra from Fellow Products, they featured their coffee on "Fellow Drops". Once I tried it, I immediately subscribed to get a different bag of coffee every month. Every coffee has been great so far!I live in the USA, but was fortunate enough to go to Aarhus, Denmark on a cruise in May, 2022. La Cabra was my first stop, we had coffee and a few pastries, everything was ridiculously great!!!! The shop is small and gets very busy around 10am, nothing fancy but we'll worth stopping by, the little street it's on has a lot of local shops so you can make a full morning of it.

Literally the best coffee I have had anywhere in the world. I used to come to La Cabra and their sister cafe at Aarhus station often to write when we lived here. Their cookies are three-day aged dough and eating one is a whole olfactory experience: like eating the rich, caramel scent of baking cookies. Their bread and butter is rich and chewy. Danish milk does something to coffee, and whatever it does, it does it best at La Cabra. A gorgeous nook on a gorgeous street.

Delicious bmo and pastries!! It can get quite crowded and loud during busy times which takes away from the cosy feeling I’m personally looking for when going to a café. They only have certain types of coffee orders on their menu but if you like a good strong coffee and to experience new flavors, you will love it here! Definitely recommend!

My Danish and Japanese friend recommended it and the coffee was really good. I have tried La cabra coffee in another cafe but the taste was different. I like the staff as well, they are friendly and work hard, kindly explain their food and coffee.

Great place that is worth to visitIt was very crowded and the queue was around 15 people but it passed quite fastI ordered something new for me, it was espresso set where they serve regular espresso and espresso with milk, so I could compare the taste. Milk one was amazing. Pure one as for me was also good but there was no crema. The spoon wasn't served:(Also we ordered filter coffee, it was nice, the taste was not good balanced, too much sour but still good

Probably the best cafe Ive been to in Denmark. Super friendly and quick service, such a perfect vibe from the moment you see the place, and picture perfect coffee and cakes! What more could you ask for?

Found this place from the high rating on TripAdvisor. The place is cozy even when it's packed with people since morning. The food's good, but I wasn't liking my hot chocolate, it had a bit special taste for me. Might come to try their breakfast next time.

These cardamom buns are the best I’ve ever had. Moist, rich, flavorful, we ordered one, ate it, and went back to order 3 more. The cinnamon roll is also outstanding. This bakery is noooo joke! Their coffee was also excellent. Highly, highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for a bite to eat.

Good coffee 3/5 (probably a 4 if you can get it hot, but with how slow the service is, it's often luke-warm by the time you get it) but fantastic pastries/bread 5/5.However La Cabra is victim of its own success.Unless you come at unusual hours, it's impossible to find a seat, the place is always packed. Opening a 2nd shop in Aarhus would be nice. The service is painfully slow. Please get 2 people working on the coffee machine or some staff that's a bit more energetic. There is always a queue of people waiting for their orders, and when you get take-away it's like watching a turtle work. Also pretty expensive, even by danish standards.

Nice coffee, really nice location, especially when it is warm it is so nice outside! The pastries are amazing! I took 1 star down, just because we went to Stillers on that day as well, and having the two coffees back to back Stillers definitely wins in the coffee department, La Cabra wins on location and pastries!

Excellent coffee, pastries and vibe! Felt like the go-to spot in Aarhus. Point for improvement: there were no vegan food options.

Great coffee place ! The pastries are not only looking good but are so tasty. It is located in a quiet pedestrian street where you could nicely seat outside. The service is good and the mood inside invite to chill and relax.

Stopped by for a coffee and pastry. I’ve visited the cafe in New York and was keen to try here.I wasn’t disappointed. The service was great, very welcoming. The coffee was delicious, the choice of beans was good. Could have been a little hotter, but I should have asked and this is a personal preference. The croissant was perfect. On par with any of the best you’d find in Paris (trust me I’ve had my fair share)

Nice atmosphere and nice coffee. It tastes delicious and the pastries and bread are also excellent. It is however more expensive than other places. Also, it is quite big, but usually full so if you manage to get a table, take it, you are lucky.I definitely recommend it

Heard about this being one of the best cafe/bakery shops for its in-depth specialisation in a few great items (like their croissant). The coffee was good, but there was nothing honestly out of this world, but the baked goods were absolutely amazing. The bun with cheese is a must and is extremely balanced with great butter and cheese that melts in your mouth. The croissant - is just a must - flaky, chewy, and buttery to one heart content.

I was looking for a sweet coffee shop with good coffee and that’s what I found. I had a cappuccino and it was close to everything I wanted: some late art, a good coffee and a nice cup. The coffee wasn’t groundbreaking but had a good flavor. You can choose from three different coffees and I took the first one on the menu. Additionally, I had a pain au chocolate which was good! They have a water fountain as well which I love and the interior is very chill. Also suitable for working as I saw some people with laptops. The focus is on having a good coffee and some conversation though.

The cafe was on a quiet street. Coffee and the bakery were good. Enjoying the vibe and the decor inside. Also really liked the texture of the cups and plates, it reminded me of the Japanese atmosphere.

Fabulous breakfast of yoghurt and granola, tow.slices of beautiful thick fresh bread, cheese and a boiled egg! On, and apple juice. Really nice. The coffee and pastries are also great. it's a warm room with lots of tables even a small upstairs section. Not speedy but worth the short wait.
