The 50 best Chinese food in Paris (2024)

The Hoxton is a stylish and trendy hotel that offers a haute restaurant, courtyards and chic bars, as well as complimentary in-room breakfast. It is located in the Sentier district of Paris, which is known for its trendy restaurants and nightlife.

The hotel is beautiful and has a neat history with original staircases and such. The staff is very friendly, the food delicious, and there’s attention to detail. It’s kind of an Instagram Mecca - which has its pros and cons. It’s busy especially in the bar or restaurant at night.2 tips - book with breakfast. It’s a great deal. Enjoy drinks in the lobby before 11 when they close the lobby bar or in Jacques before dinner (and the crowds).

Loved staying here. The vibe, service and design was just right. The location was very convenient too. The room was nice and the bars and restaurant in the hotel was cute too. In the room, there could have been slippers, toiletries like toothpaste offered to make it a bit better. Also, I found the actual toilet a little small and uncomfortable to sit on. I would still gladly stay here again.

Beautiful hotel. Great location in Paris. Gorgeous restaurant and bars, with a delicious selection of food and drink. Within walking distance to a great selection of restaurants and store. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, fluent in English too - to make non or learning French speakers to feel comfortable and supported. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Good vibe type of hotel - for younger people to hang out. Recommended by my friend's coworker to stay in Paris due to its location. Room was so small, I can understand because it's in Paris. Bathroom was decent size, however, there's always water pooling after each shower. The door seemed to shut tightly but not tight enough to prevent water pooling outside. Very tight space to pack stuff if you have more than 3 luggages. We received hotel credits from staying here and was trying to get food from the room service, unfortunately food was not available. We wasted the hotel credits. We stayed for 2 nights, the first night was so noisy because there was a private event right in the garden below our room. Called the front desk asking them about the noise and they told us it was just one night thing. The party lasted past midnight. Service was great, the staff were friendly. Don't think I'd stay here again when I visit Paris in the future.

I recently had a delightful experience at The Hoxton Hotel in Paris. The standout was Gustavo, who provided exceptional service, making my stay memorable. The hotel's terrace offers a great ambiance, and the co*cktails and dinner were exquisite. The prime location adds to the overall excellence. Highly recommended for a wonderful Parisian stay!

The service and attention were impeccable. They were attentive to my needs at all times to ensure everything was to my liking. What I ordered was delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the decor is noteworthy. Alexia and Freddy, who served me, were very attentive and friendly upon my arrival. Based on everything I've mentioned, I would recommend this place.

Price & quality is very well balanced, top location with very friendly staff. Hotel looks super nice and green. Comfortable bed, a good shower, overall, very nice stay. The only thing is that there are many non-hotel guests come for a drink or dinner, it can get very crowded in the weekend.

Lovely place. The design of the place and the terrace is amazing. The food is delicious and prices are fair. Super recommended! It has some vegetarian and vegan options. Not so many tho. The service is great! Staff is super friendly and welcoming and are constantly checking in to see if everything is fine or you need something.

Amazing boutique hotel. Rooms are small but beautiful and practical. Caffe and restaurant below are amazing. Great party in the restaurant during the weekend - don’t forgot to reserve a table! Location is fabulous close to everything. Service is 5 stars.

Hotel condition is great, location is good. A hip hotel with a nice bar. Room is very tiny though, can’t even open and lay my luggage. Amenities are limited, no cotton pads, no body lotion, just shampoo, conditioner and body wash, that’s it so bring your own if you need anything else. At night could be quite noisy too as the bar us right down you can see from the windows of the room, it’s a low rise. Their check in time is not flexible too so if you fly in in the morning, expect to get a room mid/late afternoon and you have to find a place to freshen up from flight.

Amazing stay as always. Great place, best service.Pilar and Amelie made sure check-in was quick and hassle-free.Gustavo, Jim and Tiffany from the lobby bar were as attentive, helpful and accommodating as per usual. Will always consider my home in Paris.

Exceptional service and amazing beautiful hotel. My favorite Hoxton property by far. Cristina from bookings went above and beyond to assist me during reservation. I truly appreciate her kind attention.Special mention as well to Gustavo from the lobby cafe who attentively helped and took care of all my dining needs throughout my 10 day stay.I’m very happy and excited to come back this Summer.Beautiful and amazing, my favorite Hoxton property for sure.

We stayed in a Biggy room for our 4 night stay in Paris. The room was spacious for 2 of us and clean and the staff were very friendly and polite. Only reason we aren't giving a 5 star review is because the bathroom was one massive room with no glass separation for the shower so water went everywhere and there was no water pressure. In other photos there seems to be a glass separation but it could be for a different room type. Its a great location and the rooms are really well maintained and clean.

I’ve stayed at a few Hoxton’s and have always enjoyed myself but this one was a bit of a miss.I’ll start out with the positives: Very cute. Food was decent. Service was good. Location was ideal. Free, canned water whenever you need it which was especially helpful when leaving on outings or coming back after a long day.Onto the negatives: The rooms were incredibly small and ours was bigger than the base room. Our room smelled faintly of smoke and mold (we later found out that may be in part to our shower door not sealing properly at the bottom. Every time we’d shower there would be a pool of water outside the door). The beds were very uncomfortable and felt borderline cheap. The fridge was barely cooler than room temp and it was this way in all 3 rooms we booked. Also, the rooms are so dark, even with all lights on. I get they’re obviously going for a certain vibe, but we found it difficult to pack, find anything or get ready.Lastly (and we came as tourists, so if you’re a regular Paris traveler this may not affect you as much), we also had the pleasure of coming home from our tours (during a September heatwave, looking like drowned rats) to a lobby full of cool Parisians every night. There’s no way to avoid this, their lobby is also their bar/hangout area and is always packed with chic locals who will give you the up and down and a mild sneer as you try to politely make your way through the crowds to your room.Personally, not a place I’d recommend, but if staying at a hip spot means more to you than any of the points I hit above - go for it.

Vibrancy - is what you feel the minute you step into the cafe that serves as the front of the hotel, the same place where you have your delicious meals and interact with an international staff that sets the perfect vibe of warmth, professionalism, and service. We chose the breakfast to be included and enjoyed the range of options from poached eggs/sauce to french toast. The winner was Avocado Toast on a darkly toasted multi-grain bread with two poached eggs on top, perfect salmon, bacon or ham on the side. The rooms are small but perfect and luxurious. Our windows opened onto the cafe, so we could listen to the morning music and smell the coffee if we wanted to, or keep them closed and the multi-paned glass preserved the perfect quiet. We liked being here and would definitely recommend it for those who want an authentic but up to date French experience.

Very unique, beautiful hotel. Incredibly friendly staff with exceptional food and drink options. Thomas at the front desk helped me through an unforeseen train cancellation and went out of his way to help me find Alternate plans; and, Andrew in the lobby bar/café was always a pleasure to speak to in the mornings over a cup of coffee and croissant.

Beautiful building however the hotel is so so… you have to search for check in. It’s all the way in the back and actually no one of the staff looks after guest that look around not knowing their way. Bar service is also very poor. Signing your receipt or paying cash before you get your drink or coffee. No room service only if you ask for it and also even if you ask for it it didn’t work.

Location was great, room was good. But the check in process and reception staff were miserable. We were told check in was at 2pm. We arrived at 1pm. Didn’t get a key to a room until almost 4PM. It would have been fine, because Paris, but the the reception staff had zero concept of hospitality. After a 12 hour red eye flight, a room that wasn’t ready, plus almost waiting an extra 2 hours, there is no reason to be rude and dismissive when I check to see if the room is ready.. The rest of the staff was great, food is just OK and room service ends at 10:30 which is crazy for a major city hotel. The vibe is fun and some good people watching. I probably wouldn’t stay again because of front desk staff really ruined it sadly.

Wonderful hotel and excellent ambiance overall. Great food and drinks even if you aren’t staying here. They were sold out for part of my trip so I stayed at the Holiday Inn Opera just a 4 min walk, but I was here for breakfast and drinks. Staff was incredibly nice. Highly recommend the Hoxton.

We stayed here for 1 night. Super comfy bed and pillows, stylish decor, friendly staff and great location. We were able to check out at 6:30pm which was amazing as our eurostar train home wasn’t until later in the evening and it meant having a base to come back to after a busy day out in Paris. We also received a free bigger room upgrade which was great too. Scoring 1 point down purely because of the amount of people and laptops in the lobby areas, meaning there is often not room for hotel guests to enjoy the space. I know that this is a Hoxton culture thing as it is the same in the London hotels but it’s a shame that so much space is taken up majority of the time.

Alexandra Robbins — Google review

This hotel is overall not bad, the staff are friendly and helpful. But the rooms are way to dark, there is no door for the shower and there is full-blown parties at night. The room service comes pretty late, but also very cheerful. Trash collectors come around 4-5PM?!

Younger not stay in your room vibe type of hotel - for younger people to hang out in the common area and be seen "doing work" when they're just surfing the inter webs.Recommended by a friend's coworker to stay in Paris due to its location and because we stayed at this location in Barcelona. Room was so small, I can understand because it's in Paris. Bathroom was decent size, however, there's always water pooling after each shower. The door seemed to shut tightly but not tight enough to prevent water pooling outside. Very tight space to pack stuff if you have more than 3 luggage.

Nestled in the heart of Paris, The Hoxton offers a charming spot for a drink. Its cozy ambiance, combined with tasteful decor, makes for a comfortable and inviting experience. Ideal for an evening with friends or a casual date, the place offers a good selection of drinks and snacks.

Second time we come back to Hoxton Paris. Firstly because of the convenience of the area and secondly because the room for our family of 3 is super cozy and spacious enough. Staff is always attentive. Rooms are noise free. And rooms and common areas are super clean. Also very nice restaurant and bars and a relaxing vibe throughout. Will definitely visit again!

Amazing hotel, but most importantly excellent service! Great friendly and serviceable staff. Honestly, they took such good care of me, as family. And the GM Marco was over the top helpful kind, caring and friendly. No wonder the rest of the staff follows the same pattern, it comes from the top! Thank you Marco and the Hox team. See you soon again in Paris!Nadia

This is by far my favorite hotel in the World! And trust me I travel a lot! Stayed for 9 days. Amazing location in the heart of Paris! A walking distance from everything, rooms are super nice, breakfast is beyond amazing, staff are super nice! The hotel has one of the nicest brunch/cafe in Paris - I didnt want to leave. Till next time Hoxton❤️

Akshat was amazing! He greeted us at the bar when we arrived friendly and so helpful! He made our experience one of a kind. We will definitely come back!

We didn’t realize the entire downstairs bar area is a nightclub with loud music until midnight/1 am when we booked our stay. Our room was one floor above it and was very loud. The staff were all friendly. But I expected a much better room environment based on the price. I can’t recommend this hotel if you want a nice and quiet place to sleep.

I've stayed in several Hoxton hotels, and this one isn't up to the name. The only thing this one has going for it is the location. Overall, it was a disappointing stay.We arrived pretty late (11:30) and, like other guests, were led on a wild goose chase around all three bars by the staff. They kept sending us to the wrong place with all our luggage in tow while trying to check-in. It could have been a better start, but it was busy. The check-in staff were lovely. The room was okay - not very clean, and I could see the traces of red wine where a previous guest had been sick down the white tiles walls. After a long journey, we went to get a drink from the mini bar and were informed we had to get it at reception. I went to reception and was informed I had to get it at the bar. I went to the bar and waited 45 minutes to get served two glasses of champagne. I was told they could not apply the disloyalty discount as it was too busy. It's not the kind of service I would expect at a hotel you're paying this much for. Being able to get a drink is a basic service. That night, the room was super smokey due to people smoking in the halls and nearby rooms. Who knows? This happened all three nights we were there. So, if you're into sleeping in an ashtray, this is the right place. On the last day, when we checked out, we went to the restaurant at 4:30 and asked if we could order a drink and maybe some snacks. After being told yes, we ordered a glass of wine each and will order food afterwards. When the wine came, we were told that the seats were needed for the restaurant and that we needed to pay and leave (as there were no seats we could sit in). The restaurant was empty. So we're forced to down our wine and go. Great last impression…I will be looking for somewhere else to stay next time.

3* quality rooms. Very loud. People talk through the hallways without consideration for the other guests. Very cool restaurant and bar. I would not recommend the hotel for anyone without earplugs.
