Russell Wayne Stuber
February 19, 1930 - February 22, 2019

Russell Stuber was born Feb 19, 1930 to Orville and Annetta (Gausemel) Stuber in Bowman, ND. He was raised on the family ranch in Slope County. He attended Cash School thru the 8th grade, graduating from Bowman High School in 1948.

Russell attended NDAC (North Dakota State University), graduating with an Animal Science Degree. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1951. Russ was stationed in Hamilton Air Force Base in California from 1951-1955. Russ was a Vet Tech which he was responsible for watching over the care of the animals on the base.

Russell married Marlo Hagen in Fargo, ND on January 12, 1953. Russell and Marlo had two children. After Russell was discharged from the Air Force Base, Marlo and Russ lived in Ft Dodge, IA, and Austin MN where he worked as a hog buyer for the Hormel Company. In 1959 they moved to Bowman, and Russell joined his brother Robert forming the Bowman Western Lumber Company until 1980. Russell then obtained his realtors license, selling real estate in Bowman, Bismarck, and Fargo until his retirement.

Russell was a member of the Kappa Sigma Chi Fraternity, ND Lumbermans Association, Bowman Legion, Bowman Rotary, Bowman Lutheran Church. He served on the Bowman School Board from 1965-1971. Russell enjoyed going to the NDSU Bison football games, or watching them on TV when he wasn't able to attend them. He was always up for a game of golf or cards. Russell enjoyed traveling throughout the country. Some of his favorite trips were to California, Hawaii, Arizona, and an East Coast trip with his family.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Annetta, brothers Robert and Richard.
