Men's College World Series: Ole Miss sweeps for first title (2024)

The Ole Miss Rebels are Men's College World Series champions for the first time in program history. Ole Miss scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth and Brandon Johnson struck out the side in the top of the ninth to secure a 4-2 win and a sweep of Oklahoma.

Ole Miss, among the last four teams selected for the postseason tournament, took Game 1 10-2 on Saturday.

Neither team entered the the NCAA baseball tournament as a ranked seed. Ole Miss won its title just a year after instate rival Mississippi State won its first MCWS championship last season.
