6 Future-proofing strategies for Hospitality training! As technology revolutionises hotel operations across APAC, it's time to rethink how we train our teams for success. Here are my six strategies to reimagine hospitality training in this era of rapid change 👇 Step #1: Practice “human” and inter-relational skills using scalable, repeatable immersive learning experiences.Step #2: Choose a learning platform that provides personalised reinforcement of core knowledge and behaviours.Step #3: Ensure core information is always just a Chatbot question away.Step #4: Facilitate two-way communication with every employee—next-level comms and EVP.Step #5: Emphasise interpersonal skills, empathy, and cultural awareness in training for meaningful guest interactions.Step #6: Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, empowering employees to quickly adapt to emerging trends and guest preferences. In this new era operational efficiency, you’ll need to ensure your employees deliver exceptional guest experiences that build loyalty, recommendations, and repeat visits.Added benefit … exponential improvement of your EVP and reducing the cost of employee turnover. These cost savings should go a significant way to covering the cost of investment in these solutions … #hospitalitytraining #hospitality #VRtraining #customerservice #digitaltransformation

European vs. International Market: Training Differences - My Dubai ExperienceFrontline Insights: In my role, I've witnessed firsthand the training market disparities between Europe and the Middle East, particularly in Dubai.🇪🇺Europe Invests in Employees: In Europe, sending employees to 1-3 day seminars with accommodation and meals included is common practice to equip them with new knowledge and boost motivation.🇦🇪Dubai: A Different Story. Here, investment in employee training is minimal, encompassing both technical and sales skills. Initially, this realization was disheartening.Two-Sided Analysis: As Angela, the problem solver, I've approached this situation from both perspectives:For many Asian therapists, Dubai is a transit point.Long-term training investments often don't make sense for the employers.💭(they think....😬)And the Employees often want to not in a situation of owning anything.... (what a trap.....😤) Thats why they (seem) unmotivated. However:Training is crucialto enhance revenue, customer loyalty, and brand strength.💡 My Solution: The Money Making Frontdesk ProgramDriven by this understanding, I created "The Money Making Frontdesk" A 10-day live online-live training that delivers actionable insights for boosting revenue, one step at a time. What Makes It Unique:10 Topics in 10 Hours:Optimize check-in & check-out processesMaster objection handlingUpselling and downselling techniquesSchedule appointments in advanceGenerate customer referralsAutomate positive Google reviewsand many morePractical:Each day brings new tasks and practical exercises for immediate implementation.Program Success:✋🏼High Demand:The program has quickly gained traction within my network.I now coach not only reception teams but also real estate agents, other service providers with similar processes, and even jewelers and luxury brands.Cross-Industry:Collaborating with diverse industries provides me with valuable insights.Making Lemonade from Lemons:🍋🥤🍋🥤My initial disappointment has transformed into an inspiring opportunity. My Question to you: Have you ever turned a challenging situation into something positive? Share your experiences in the comments!#Training #Motivation #RevenueGrowth #CustomerSatisfaction #trainer4beauty #angelathomas #beautyindustry #learingprogram #onlinelearning

Solid week of training out here in Dubai. Me and Mrs B always want to keep on top of staying in shape when were away. Here’s what we do:👉 Workout daily with weights👉 Walk in the sun minimum 1 hr a day👉 High protein breakfast (omelette) 👉 Skip lunch and bank calories for dinner👉 No drinks in the day👉 Dinner and a couple of drinks 👉 Smash dessert It’s easy to blow it (we used to). But, routine = results. Getting in shape is one thing, staying in shape is a whole different commitment level. Like running a business - it’s full time and the rent is due every day.

Cultivating Excellence: Building a Training Catalog that Empowers Your Hotel TeamIn Amsa Hospitality, where exceptional guest experiences are our priority, a well-crafted training catalog isn't just a checkbox - it's a foundation for success. The alchemy that transforms individuals into passionate hospitality professionals equipped to navigate every guest interaction skillfully and gracefully. But building a training catalog that truly empowers is more than churning out one-size-fits-all modules. It's about a bespoke approach tailored to your team's unique needs and aspirations. Here's how you can craft a training catalog that ignites excellence:1. Identify the Gems: Understand your team's strengths and weaknesses. Analyze departmental needs, performance evaluations, and guest feedback to pinpoint areas where targeted training can impact most.2. Go Beyond the Basics: Hospitality is more than room service and check-in. Think beyond operational training and embrace skill development that fuels guest engagement, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving prowess.3. Embrace Diversity: One size doesn't fit all, and neither should your training. Cater to different learning styles with a mix of classroom sessions, online modules, hands-on workshops, and even micro-learning opportunities for those on the go.4. Technology is a Friend: Leverage the power of technology! Interactive video simulations, gamified learning experiences, and virtual reality can transport your team into realistic scenarios, boosting engagement and knowledge retention.5. Cultivate Continuous Learning: Don't view training as a one-off event. Make it a part of your culture! Encourage cross-training, mentorship programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to foster a continuous learning environment.By investing in a tailored, dynamic training catalog, you're not just equipping your team - you're investing in your hotel's future. So, let's raise a toast to cultivating a culture of excellence, one training session at a time!#hospitalitytraining #hotelmanagement #teamdevelopment #AmsaHospitality #learninganddevelopmentFeel free to share your insights and experiences in the comments below! Let's build a community of hospitality training champions!

To get an outsourced/external trainer/ facilitator/ speaker or not? Here are some PROS: 😍1. Less time and effort for your internal L&D teams/ resources to design and deliver the program/ talk2. Greater credibility of the program riding on the credibility and perception of objectivity of the external trainer/ speaker (especially for management topics or sensitive issues)3. Access to a wider body of knowledge (best practices, market & industry trends, deeper and wider domain expertise) brought by the external trainerThe CONS ⚠️ and mitigating action 1. External trainers/ speakers cost a lot more than what you’d spend if you utilize internal resources - you pay for their experience, expertise, exposure. Check if benefits outweigh costs.2. External trainers/ speakers don’t know your organization as much as your internal L&D teams. Ensure they receive enough orientation about the organization and partner with them in customizing the program. 3. The job of external trainers/ speakers end when they deliver the program (and submit a report). Ensure that your internal L&D teams are ready to perform post-training follow-up interventions (e.g. coaching, mentoring, projects & structured assignments) with the guidance of the external consultant.
