Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for Hogwarts Trivia Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During this adventure, you will organize the first-ever Hogwarts Trivia competition.

(Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 7 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 3 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.)

Proceed to the Three Broomsticks when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. You will see Tonks waiting for you.

You will ask Tonks curiously who it is.

Tonks will say that Gwenog Jones is one of the best in the league and that she is dying to meet her. These lines will be different based on whether you’ve completed the Welcome to the Slug Club Adventure and/or the Dragon’s Quest Adventure.

You’ll warmly greet Gwenog and introduce her to your friend Tonks. Gwenog will be surprised to see Hogwarts students here and then she’ll share her memories of her own time as a student.

She will assume that every former student feels this way and knows Hogwarts better than anyone else. Tonks will doubt that.

Tonks will explain that the current students live and study in Hogwarts every day and no one knows more than them. Gwenog will disagree with her and say that former students have completed their education and have the benefit of hindsight and experience. You will agree that both of them make good points and you will have an interesting idea.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within one hour. All five stars are required to pass.

Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. Unfortunately, there are no bonus progress actions during this task. Soon after, when you have heard their arguments, you will see that it is not easy to decide who is right.

You will say that during the debate Gwenog said something that had the ring of truth. Tonks will angrily respond that you can’t honestly think that former students know Hogwarts better than current students.

You will add that you need real proof to make the final call and you’ll propose to organize a Hogwarts Trivia competition, between current students against former students.

You will all agree and the only thing left is to ask Dumbledore and make it official.

Gwenog will be excited to visit Hogwarts again.

Gwenog will ask you if you think she’s very intimidating. You can reply in two ways. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they don’t impact the story.

Gwenog will say that she will see how you feel when former students mop the floor with you at this competition. You will notice that the game has already started.

Go to Dumbledore’s Office to continue the story. When you get there, you’ll thank the Headmaster for meeting with you, and then you’ll mention your idea, hoping he’ll give it the green light.

You will explain your idea in more detail.

Professor Dumbledore will agree that it is certainly not an easy question to answer. You will tell him that you have decided to answer the question with a competition.

After that, you will ask for permission. He will say that it is a marvelous idea and that he agrees with it because the students will get a chance to learn more about Hogwarts.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Gwenog, Dumbledore, and you. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

After that, you will receive all the details related to the competition. Two teams of five will face each other in three rounds of Hogwarts trivia. The Headmaster will suggest that in order to keep things balanced, both teams should include members from all four Hogwarts houses, that way the four houses will have to work together.

You’ll suggest that the next step is choosing team captains who will select their team members. The professor will recommend Gwenog and Tonks as captains since it’s their debate.

You’ll be thankful to Tonks and assure her of your support. Professor Dumbledore will wish you good luck and mention that he’ll meet you again at the start of the competition.

Tonks will ask you to give her your honest opinion on who has the advantage right now, current or former students. You can reply in two ways. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they don’t impact the story.

You will conclude that if you build the perfect team and study hard, you will be able to tip the scales in your favor.

Proceed to the Great Hall when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say.

(Depending on your progress in the Main Story, one of your teammates will be either Rowan or Corey. Corey will be your teammate in this Walkthrough).

You will thank everyone who came.

You will tell them that you have to make an unstoppable student team and prove that you know Hogwarts better than anyone.

You will say that it will be fun but also difficult to beat former students.

Then you will ask who is willing to help. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the Tonks. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

Your student team is starting to take shape. You’ll say that Penny will be busy with the potions project this week, so she can’t join the team, and Corey thinks she’ll do better as a study coach, where she’ll be out of the spotlight.

She will Add that Andre knows all about Quidditch and fashion. You will conclude that you have four team members and that you have one more empty spot left.

Tonks will ask what you think about that idea. You can reply in two ways. If you like Merula, choose the second option.

After that, the team will be prepared and whole.

Go to the Quidditch Pitch when you are ready. When you get there, you’ll spot Gwenog and inform her that your team is all set for the competition.

You will ask her if something is wrong.

She will say that it’s always a little overwhelming to revisit the ground that helped create the Quidditch player she is today. Depending on your progress in the Quidditch questline, the following lines will differ.

Then she’ll ask you how you’d feel about joining her for flying practice. You can reply in three different ways. Feel free to choose the option you like.

She’ll add that nothing helps clear her head like a bit of flying.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start this task with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Gwenog and you. Prioritize these actions to save a bit of energy.

After that, Gwenog will thank you for flying with her. This line will differ based on your previous choice.

She’ll mention that finding team members is challenging, and she’ll note that you and Tonks have the entire school to choose from. You’ll then offer her your assistance.

She will ask you if you really think so and she will say that she didn’t mean to call you here only to ask you to help the other team. You can reply in two different ways. Feel free to choose the option you like.

She will say that she was just planning to catch Lucius Malfoy outside the Hog’s Head Inn. The following lines of dialogue may differ based on whether you met Lucius Malfoy before or not.

This will mark the end of Part 1 of the Hogwarts Trivia Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 300 Coins.

In the upcoming part, you’ll learn if you’ll be the one to secure a teammate for the other team, ultimately assisting your friend and ensuring the competition proceeds as planned. Stay tuned!
