Guide - [EXTREME EFFORT] The Great Ironman Progression Guide (2024)

While I appreciate the perks and some of the useful information, some of this stuff triggers me a lot. It looks like you spent a lot of time acquiring info but haven't actually played this game.
I'll explain stuff i disagree with, and stuff i think can be done elsewise.
In order:

Zach_YLM said:

- lobby swap wheat until you reach 100,000 coins to purchase the Raider Axe.

Spider relics are faster.

Zach_YLM said:

- kill Lapis Zombies until you obtain Lapis armor to progress towards reaching the Dwarven Mines.

Completely unnecessay, lapis armor allows you to tank 1 more hit from ice walkers, but you can just cheese this with SimplySample's spot, ghostblocking up to normal slot or fighting them normally (i recommend using a wand of healing for this).

Zach_YLM said:

- kill Endermen to obtain Ender armor to progress towards dungeons.

Glacite gives more ehp outside of the end. Also on average you would to kill about 4k top level enderman assuming 0 dupe (which isn't gonna happen, i talk from experience).

Zach_YLM said:

- kill Endermen to obtain an Endermen pet for additional stats.
- collect 10,000 Enderpearl to craft an Aspect of the End.
- kill Obsidian Defenders until 81,920 Obsidian collection to craft a Treecapitator.
- many Ironmans chose to grind Zealots for an Aspect of the Dragons, but I personally chose to begin dungeons without AOTD.

- Enderman pet isn't too bad for 75% crit dmg, use lowest rarity possible. Uncommon or normal griffin is a pretty good option too, as well as wither skeleton. 8 enchanted coal blocks is very fast to obtain with a coal minion setup.
- You need 20k pearls to make aote... just kill a few, place minions and empty once every few hours for like 2 days.
- Wha- you CAN do this, but might as well get it through voidling minions, as you pointed down below. Grinding the 5 first tiers of every foraging minions with insta mine normal axe/jungle axe isn't gonna kill you (or if it does, even a treecap isn't gonna help you).
- Valid point, this is up to choice. Do you want to wait until f5 to get a "good" weapon or do you want to get it now but risk getting shat on by rng. Other lower damage options include hyper cleaver, and earth shard. I deny the existence of spirit sword and adaptive blade.

Farming is the main source of income for Ironman players. It's recommended to only build one infinite farm until you obtain the Builder's Wand.
- prioritize Wheat contests to craft a Coco Chopper with Replenish.
- participate in Cocoa Beans and Wheat contest to craft a Pumpkin Dicer and x4 Replenish books.
- participate in Cocoa Beans, Pumpkins, and Wheat contest to craft a Pythagorean Potato Hoe and Rancher's Boots.
- participate in Cocoa Beans, Potatoes, Pumpkins, and Wheat contest to craft a Gauss Carrot Hoe and Hot Potato Books.
- participate in Carrots, Cocoa Beans, Potatoes, Pumpkins, and Wheat contest to craft a Melon Dicer.
- participate in Carrots, Cocoa Beans, Melons, Potatoes, Pumpkins, and Wheat contest to craft a Newton Nether Wart Hoe.
- participate in Carrots, Cocoa Beans, Melons, Nether Warts, Potatoes, Pumpkins, and Wheat contest to craft a Turing Sugar Cane Hoe.
- continue farming until at least 5,000,000 coins to begin dungeons and collect Enchanted Sugar Cane to level up Alchemy during Derpy.
- obtain a Legendary Elephant pet with Specialty Hoe and Young Dragon armor to compete for gold medals.

Farming isn't the main source for income. It is the early game source of income.
Mushrooms and cactus work too for your first medals without farms.
The order in which you get tools is completely up to you.
Young dragon is useless for farming. Rancher's better, you can set your speed, and no farming method requires you to farm at 500 speed.

Zach_YLM said:

Dungeons are crucial to unlock new armor and weapons to begin slayers. You should farm at least 5,000,000 coins to start. I strongly discourage Ironmans from playing Archer, Mage, or Tank long-term; you will not have a Juju to play Archer, won't be able to find a Floor 7 party without Hyperion Mage, and are unable to Tank Floor 6/7 without Goldor. I personally recommend for Ironmans to play Healer, but feel free to play as you see fit.

Tank is only viable class f1 to f4.
You can obtain a juju pretty easily as soon as you get ld, or without touching dungeons as you mentionned down below. You just need to be aware that juju is a pretty long grind and that dungeon gear makes it faster.
As for mage, yeah kinda, but that's party finder for you.
Healer is a meme class that was designed, abandoned, and is used by people who want carries.

- Feather Falling (25,000 - 50,000 coins) [Purchase!] {Floor I+]
- Rejuvenate (25,000 - 50,000 coins) [Purchase!] {Floor I+}
- Ultimate Wise (25,000 - 50,000 coins) [Purchase!] {Floor II+}

Don't ever buy a chest just for feather falling or rejuvenate. You get it in free chest, therefore it's a waste of coins.
Ultimate wise: buy it when you get it for 50k to 100k. You can't get it for 25k.

Zach_YLM said:

Floor I
- obtain Dreadlord Sword with Zombie Knight armor unless Mage.
- alternatively, obtain Bonzo Staff with 3/4 Wise Dragon armor + Dark Goggles for Mage.
- Bonzo Mask (1,050,000 - 1,250,000 coins) [Complete 50 Collection!]
- Bonzo Staff (2,000,000 - 2,250,000 coins) [Complete 100 Collection!] [Important for Floor VII]
- Necromancer's Broosh (25,000 - 50,000 coins) [Purchase!]

Guide - [EXTREME EFFORT] The Great Ironman Progression Guide (1)

Wise dragon isn't necessary for mage, necrotic young or super heavy works too.
And yes purchase the brooches even if you're not mage, you never have enough.

Zach_YLM said:

Floor II
- obtain Bonzo Staff with Bonzo Mask unless Mage.
- Adaptive Blade (1,200,000 - 1,500,000 coins) [Purchase unless AOTD or Mage!]
- Scarf's Studies [Purchase!]

Adaptive blade is not worth it.
You can do your studies grind now, it takes around 100 f2 runs (96 for me). Additionally, theres a lot of people that can easily solo f2 in party finder and the cata exp you get can carry up to f5, allowing you to skip f3 and f4.

Zach_YLM said:

Floor III
- obtain Adaptive Blade unless Mage.
- Adaptive Helmet (1,750,000 - 2,500,000 coins) [Purchase if rich]
- Adaptive Chesterplate (3,500,000 - 4,000,000 coins) [Purchase if rich]
- Adaptive Leggings (2,500,000 - 3,000,000 coins) [Purchase unless Mage]
- Adaptive Boots (1,100,000 - 2,000,000 coins) [Purchase unless Mage]

Skip this floor. Everything here is useless. Master skeleton better for tank and archer, holy dragon better for tank and healer, and without it's full set bonus it's no better then any epic set for mage.

Zach_YLM said:

Floor V
- obtain Adaptive Blade or AOTD + Bonzo Staff with 3/4 Adaptive armor + Bonzo mask.
- alternatively, obtain Spirit Spectre with 3/4 Wise + Dark Goggles for Mage.
- Last Breath (7,000,000 coins) [Complete 500 Collection]
- Livid Dagger (7,000,000 coins) [Complete 100 Collection]
- Shadow Assassin Helmet (2,000,000 coins) [Purchase unless Mage]
- Shadow Assassin Chesterplate (6,000,000 coins) [Purchase unless Mage]
- Shadow Assassin Leggings (4,000,000 coins) [Purchase unless Mage]
- Shadow Assassin Boots (1,500,000 coins) [Purchase unless Mage]
- Shadow Fury (15,000,000 coins) [Purchase if rich]
- Warped Stone (5,000,000 coins) [Purchase!]

Take everything you can, even if you're mage. It's a good ehp/dmg set out of dungeons until you reach f7.
Due to livid dagger's attack speed, it has better dps/lifesteal then aote and shadow fury.

Zach_YLM said:

Floor VI
- obtain Livid Dagger with full Shadow Assassin armor.
- alternatively, obtain Spirit Spectre with 3/4 Wise Dragon armor + Shadow Goggles for Mage.
- Flower of Truth (free) [Prioritize!]
- Giant's Sword (25,000,000 coins) [Purchase!]
- Giant's Tooth (500,000 coins) [Purchase unless Mage]
- Necromancer Lord Sword (10,000,000 coins) [SKIP unless Mage]
- Necromancer Lord Helmet (2,000,000 coins) [SKIP unless Mage]
- Necromancer Lord Chesterplate (10,000,000 coins) [SKIP unless Mage]
- Necromancer Lord Leggings (4,000,000 coins) [SKIP unless Mage]
- Necromancer Lord Boots (1,500,000 coins) [SKIP unless Mage]
- Precursor Eye (30,000,000 coins) [Purchase if rich]
- Swarm (1,000,000 coins) [Purchase!]

Take necrolord if you're tank/healer/mage. Precursor is optional, it's more of a qol item and you can get it later from m6.

Zach_YLM said:

Floor VII
- obtain Giant's Sword or Livid Dagger + Fel Sword + FOT with 3/4 Giant Shadow Assassin armor + Mender Crown and Wither Skeleton pet.
- alternatively, obtain Necromancer Sword + FOT with full Necromancy armor for Mage.
- Auto Recombobulator (10,000,000 coins) [Purchase!]
- Necron's Handle (35,000,000 coins) [Purchase!]
- One for All (1,000,000 coins) [Purchase!]
- Precursor Gear (500,000 coins) [Purchase!]
- Soul Eater (1,000,000 coins) [Purchase!]
- Wither Blood (2,500,000 to 3,000,000 coins) [Purchase!]
- Wither Cloak Sword (4,500,000 coins) [Purchase!]
- Wither Helmet (4,000,000 coins) [Purchase!]
- Wither Chesterplate (10,000,000 coins) [Purchase!]
- Wither Leggings (6,000,000 coins) [Purchase!]
- Wither Boots (2,500,000 coins) [Purchase!]

Giant sa? what? Baby yeti works too.
Wither helmet is optional. If you're berseker, use fot for clearing, and you don't need anything for boss phase since you're completely useless.

Revenant
- obtain a Livid Dagger with 3/4 Shadow Assassin armor to begin T4 Revenants.
- continue T4 Revenants until Zombie Slayer VII to craft a Revived Heart and Wand of Restoration.
- obtain a Giant's Sword or Livid Dagger + Soul Whip swap with full Sorrow armor to begin T5 Revenants.
- continue T5 Revenants until Zombie Slayer IX to craft a Wand of Atonement.
- pray for a Beheaded Horror, Shard of the Shredded, or Warden Heart to craft Reaper Mask, Axe of the Shredded, or Warden Helmet.
[/SPOILER]

Tarantula
- obtain a Livid Dagger with 3/4 Shadow Assassin armor to begin T4 Tarantulas.
- continue T4 Tarantulas until Spider Slayer V to craft a Tarantula Helmet.
- obtain a Giant's Sword or Livid Dagger + Soul Whip swap with full Sorrow armor to continue T4 Tarantulas.
- continue T4 Tarantulas until Spider Slayer IX.

Sven
- obtain a Livid Dagger with 3/4 Shadow Assassin armor and Mithril Golem or Silverfish pet to begin T4 Svens.
- continue T4 Svens until Wolf Slayer II to craft Radiant Power Orb.
- continue T4 Svens until Wolf Slayer IV to craft full Mastiff armor and complete the Campfire Badge.
- continue T4 Svens until Wolf Slayer VI to craft Mana Flux Power Orb and Pooch Sword to begin Voidlings.
- obtain a Giant's Sword or Livid Dagger + Soul Whip swap with full Sorrow armor until Wolf Slayer IX.
- pray for a Furball, Overflux Capacitor, or Plasma Nucleus to craft Itchy Power Stone, Overflux Power Orb, or Plasmaflux Power Orb.

Voidgloom
- obtain a Livid Dagger with full Shadow Assassin armor and Epic Enderman Pet to begin T1 Voidgloom.
- kill 64 T1 Voidlings until Voidedge Katana to begin T2 Voidgloom.
- obtain Florid Zombie Sword + Pooch Sword + Soul Whip with full Mastiff armor to begin T2 Voidgloom.
- alternatively, obtain Florid Zombie Sword + Necromancy Sword + Soul Whip with full Necromancer armor to begin T2 Voidgloom.
- alternatively, obtain Florid Zombie Sword + Soul Whip + Voidedge Katana with 3/4 Necron armor + Revived Heart to begin T2 Voidgloom.
- kill 189 T2 Voidlings to obtain Soulflow Battery and Full Final Destination armor to begin T3 Voidgloom.
- obtain Giant's Sword + Ender Artifact + Soulflow Battery with Full Final Destination armor to begin T3 Voidgloom.
- kill 128 T3 Voidlings to obtain Aspect of the Void and Juju Shortbow.
- pray for Null Atoms to craft Atomsplit Katana and Soulflow Supercell to begin T4 Voidgloom.
- obtain Scylla or Atomsplit Katana + Soulflow Supercell to begin T4 Voidgloom.
- continue T4 Voidgloom until Enderman Slayer IX.
- pray for Exceedingly Rare Ender Artifact Upgrader or Judgement Core to craft Ender Relic or Terminator.

Gonna do the whole slayer section in one go because this is taking way too long.
T1 to t4 of the first 3 slayers can be beaten with earth shard and master skeleton armor.
Tier 5 revenant can be beaten with 3/4 sa, tara helm and ld.
"- continue T5 Revenants until Zombie Slayer IX to craft a Wand of Atonement." My brain just died. What did you mean by this.

How to do a t2 voidgloom:
Why do you say that you need a voidedge if you then say that you're using pooch and mastiff. Also, the difference between florid and ornate is minimal. And why the heck do you need a soulwhip.
3/4 sa or crimson with double healing helmet, livid dagger, mana flux and wand of mending/restoration is GOOD ENOUGH.
Livid dagger better then voidedge because same dps double lifesteal.

To kill tier 3 voidglooms you're going to need full fd, voidedge and soulflow. Giant sword is not needed. Ender artefact is optional. What isn't is an epic or better enderman. (one of the two).

Scylla for t4 voidgloom? what?

ALSO ITS CALLED AN EMAN SLAYER OR A VOIDGLOOM SERAPH NOT A VOIDLING AHHHHH THATS THE NAME OF THE MINION STOP STOP STOP STOP IT AHHHHHH

Mining
Mining is undoubtedly the best money-making method with potentially 9,000,000 coins per hour. Unfortunately, this will take several hundred hours for Ironmans to start earning coins, thus I have quite a controversial opinion towards this progression and skip Yog. Please take it with a grain of salt.
- obtain full Mineral armor and Heart of the Mountain IV to reach the Crystal Hollows and obtain the Refined Titanium Pickaxe.
- complete King Yolker's quest to obtain Amber Crystals.
- complete the Mines of Divan's quest to obtain Jade Crystals.
- kill Automatons for Control Switch, Electron Transmitter, FTX 3070, Robotron Reflector, Superlite Motor, and Synthetic Hearts to obtain Sapphire Crystals.
- kill Bals to obtain Topaz Crystals.
- kill Key Guardians for Jungle Keys to obtain Amethyst Crystals.
- mine 102,400 gold to obtain full Mastiff armor.
- obtain Pooch Sword + Soul Whip with full Mastiff armor to begin killing Ghosts.
- alternatively, obtain Giant's Sword + Soul Whip with 3/4 Necron armor to begin killing Ghosts.
- obtain full Sorrow armor and Ruby Drill TX-15 to efficiently complete Crystal Nucleus runs.
- complete Crystal Nucleus runs to obtain Gemstone Gauntlet and Divan's armor.
- mine 409,600 gold to obtain Gemstone Gauntlet.
- mine hardstone until Scatha pet.
- mine 2,416,640 gold to obtain Daedalus Axe and Plasmaflux Power Orb.

9m coins per hour is with trash setup and 4m/4m powder. I'd recommend getting 4M/7.5m before starting gem mining. This pathway that i find rather interesting probably is pretty good, tho i would recommend using shadow assassin, soulwhip and mithril golem instead of pooch + mastiff. Giant's sword is not required.
Complete crystal nucleus to get gemstone gauntlet??? What? *confused ooga booga.
There are 2 ways to mine, jade with scatha or ruby with bal. Jade takes less efforts but makes a bit less too.

Yeah i think that's gonna be it, i've been writing this for half an hour now.

Enjoy your life.

Remember that you are free to do what you want with it, unless you happen to be playing hypixel skyblock.

Sincerely,

Auroresta.[/spoiler]

Edit: Some stuff that i found interesting with your profile: you have 8 t1 and t2 eman kills, your cata level is 32, and your skill average 23 ._. Also where do you get your money from?
