best equipment for combat/dungeons (2024)

Dungeon Archer: ( Waxed )
Gauntlet of Contagion, Implosion Belt, Molten Necklace, Molten Cloak.
Mana Pool / Mending Attributes ( Undead Resistance, Speed and Dominance are also decent options ).

Overworld Berserk / Archer: ( Strengthened )
Magma Lord Gauntlet, Molten Belt, Molten Cloak, Molten Necklace.
Veteran / Mending Attributes ( Dominance is also great if you're playing Archer in Overworld ).

Dungeon / Overworld Mage: ( Glistening )
Gauntlet of Contagion, Implosion Belt, Vanquished Ghast Cloak, Synthetyzer v3.
Mana Pool / Mana Regen ( Breeze is also an okay option, Speed or Undead Resistance in Dungeons ).

I should also mention that if you're struggling with survivability at all, Fortified is a great reforge and should be your go-to, however I do not recommend it if you're running Terminator as you need the crit chance from Waxed.

Implosion Belt everywhere, it helps an ungodly amount during clearing phase, especially needed since Terminator clear is so much slower than Hyperion clear

Ok this is a topic of debate and you can do basically whatever you want.

But basically the gauntlet of contagion scales better with additive dmg than the implosion belt dmg. The implosion belt does less compared to your additive dmg. So the dmg reduction would be better. (Obv on a lot of mobs it's important to maximize dmg like terras in f6/m6. So for those floors implosion belt is much better)
There's also the problem with implosion belt not actually working on every single mob for the gauntlet of contagion. It only works on select mobs.

But people have different opinions on this and some people think extra dmg from implosion belt is much better so whatever.

Why would you not run it tho, Archer already has Bone Plating, more damage reduction is redundant. If you want to make this argument you could argue Molten Belt is better, but I'd still go Implosion Belt if you are using Contagion

I mean fair enough but for a lot of people -6% dmg reduction is pretty good.
It's worth giving up for the minimal increase in gauntlet dmg on select mobs for them.

synth v3 has no attribute and mana pool outclasses it easily
u don't need nearly as much mana regen as all 4 pieces simply because u aren't ever going to run out with only 2
the most important attribute for dungeon mage is dominance and u aren't even mentioning it like what
